2026.08.24.6

August 24, 2026

Added

  • A "Share her memorial" button in the footer: one tap hands you a beautifully composed poster of Jean — her photograph, her name and dates, and her story — ready to send by Messages or save to your phone.

2026.08.24.5

August 24, 2026

Fixed

  • Jean's life story is back on the memorial page — an earlier release misread the family's request and rested the whole passage; only the "Her Life" heading was meant to go, and now it has. Her story reads under her name, as it should.

2026.08.24.4

August 24, 2026

Added

  • The Family Room: a private corner of the memorial for Jean's family. Enter with your email and a six-digit code — no passwords, no accounts — and the room remembers you. Inside: the photographs the family has gathered, who is coming in September, a private way to send the family a thought, and a plain-language note on how this site works.
  • A quiet "Family Room" link in the memorial's footer.

2026.08.24.3

August 24, 2026

Removed

  • At the family's request, Jean's written life story has been taken off the public page for now; the memorial carries her portrait, the door to share a memory, and the Celebration of Life details.

2026.08.24.2

August 24, 2026

Changed

  • The site's browser-tab icon is now the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse — the red tower of Jean's own town — replacing a leftover template icon.

2026.08.24

August 24, 2026

Changed

  • At the family's request, the Celebration of Life details now close the page after Jean's life story, with the RSVP button beside them; the page opens with her portrait and the door to share a memory.
  • On large screens Jean's portrait now keeps its full composition and natural size — the whole card-table photograph, cards in hand — instead of enlarging and cropping to fill the window.
  • The event details now lead with the venue and a Directions link; the full street address lives inside the map link.
  • The Celebration of Life sentence inside her life story now reads as part of the story itself, so the page has a single framed Celebration of Life panel.

2026.08.21

August 21, 2026

Added

  • Anyone can now share a memory without signing in: photographs, a video, an audio recording, written words, or a link, with voice and video recordable right on the page.
  • A personal “Your contributions” list shows each visitor what they have shared, with honest per-item status while items store privately for family review.
  • Visitors can RSVP for the Celebration of Life with their name, email, and headcount; sending again with the same email updates the earlier reply.
  • The Celebration of Life details — date, time, venue, address, directions, and a light itinerary — now appear directly on the memorial page.
  • A visible footer Feedback link opens the same private request composer without requiring a text selection.
  • The memorial is easier to find in search: the page title now names the obituary and Celebration of Life, and the site publishes a sitemap and structured information about Jean for search engines.

Changed

  • The memorial is now a single composed page: Jean’s portrait carries her name and the event details, with her life story beneath under the heading “Her Life.”
  • Jean’s bridge-playing portrait is now the primary hero.
  • At the family’s request, the “Mommy Grande Dame ’76” portrait moved from its featured position to the final place in the photograph wall, and shared-link previews now show the hero portrait instead.
  • The website obituary includes six family-approved copy, punctuation, event-detail, and donation-link presentation corrections; the separate Share a Memory callout remains outside the obituary.

Removed

  • The photograph wall is resting for now; the approved photographs remain safely with the family for a later, richer remembrance.
  • The Google sign-in requirement for sharing a memory is gone.

Fixed

  • Desktop obituary selections now keep one stable feedback action and open the composer fully inside the viewport.
  • Photograph captions no longer repeat the year when the family’s caption already names it.

2026.08.20.1

August 20, 2026

Added

  • Jean’s portrait now appears in shared-link previews.
  • Visitors can select obituary text and privately request a change for family review; requests do not alter or publish the memorial automatically.

Changed

  • Memorial photographs now use responsive, phone-sized versions while retaining the approved originals as fallbacks.
  • Selected photographs now show their size and clearly distinguish local selection from active upload progress.

Fixed

  • Interrupted private uploads can be retried or removed without duplicating photographs or written memories that were already received.

August 20, 2026

Added

  • Visitors can privately share up to ten photographs and an optional written memory for family review.
  • Contributors can see receipts for only their own private submissions.

  • Photograph selection appears before optional written context and memory fields.

Fixed
